theme I have personally used and also for my clients on wordpress.
I really appreciate and will recommend Genesis Framework themes
because of the beautiful and state-of-the-art themes for wordpress
blog platform they produce. I can bet they are very good at what they
do which am sure many of my readers that have in one time or the other
used their theme can testify to.
I used eleven40 child theme before settling for the Genesis Prose
child theme, but i had a challenge which am sure most users of Genesis
prose child theme are facing too, which is increasing the default
number of post from five (5) to any greater number of post. But
luckily for me I have been able to find a solution to this issue so I
have decided to share it with you because you might want to increase
the default number from 5 to a higher number too.
Now let's get to the main business of how I made this possible
Note: Be careful with the steps below so you don't corrupt your theme
customisation and render your theme useless.
Changing the number of post in eleven40 genesis theme can be done
easily via the home.php file in the theme folder/directory.
Follow the steps below to achieve this:
#1 Login to your wordpress dashboard and navigate to Appearance->
Editor Page at the left hand side of your blog menu.
#2 Now that you are at the Editor tool page, at the extreme right of
the Page [containing the theme's file], click on the Home.php file.
#3 You will see a collection of some genesis hooks code, among the
codes, you will see a code snippet as follows: 'posts_per_page' => 5,
#4 Change 5 to the number of post you would love to be displayed at
your homepage,
# Save your work, the reload your page and you will see the changes.
